Most flocks drink it like normal water. One Amazon reviewer said their hens "didn't seem to mind the taste at all since they kept drinking normally." If yours are picky, start with a lighter mix and build up over a few days, and in hot weather keep a waterer of plain water alongside.
Everything is listed further down this page, word for word from the label: 7 probiotic species, 2 prebiotics, electrolytes, 13 vitamins and trace minerals. See the full ingredient list.
Stir it into the drinking water with the included scoop: 2 grams per gallon every day, or 4 grams per gallon when hens are under extra stress like hot weather. Mix it fresh each day.
It's a dry powder, so moisture is the enemy. Seal the bag tight after every scoop and keep it somewhere cool and dry, not in a humid coop. If a bag ever arrives caked or damaged, email us photos and we'll replace it.
Every 3 months: 1 bag for 1–8 hens, 2 bags for 9–14 hens, 3 bags for 15 or more. Tell us your flock size above and we'll time your refills to match.

The Problem
Most keepers treat these one at a time. But they come down to the same few things: stress, a gut that's off, and nutrients that never get absorbed.

Heat waves, cold snaps and molt throw hens off. She eats and drinks less, and the nest box goes quiet.

When her gut is off, droppings turn runny and end up on her and on your eggs.

You keep filling the feeder but the eggs don't keep up. A lot of that feed passes right through her.

A washed-out comb and a hen who hangs back. She isn't getting all she needs from her food.
The Solution
Probiotics, prebiotics, electrolytes, vitamins and minerals in one scoop. It goes in the water, so every hen gets it, and it goes to work right in her gut.
Every hen drinks, even the ones that hang back at the feeder. It dissolves fast, so it mixes in seconds.
Including two spore-forming Bacillus strains that are built to make it through the waterer and the gizzard.
A daily supplement, not a medicine. Keep collecting and eating your eggs like normal.

Seven species of beneficial bacteria, at least 0.8 billion CFU per gram (label). Two are spore-forming Bacillus, which survive the trip through the gizzard.
Started using Hen Harmony in our chicken's water. Improved the color in their combs, and helped the majority of the flock start laying more eggs after a harsh winter. We have 45 layers, and they had a long streak of reduced egg laying through this last winter. This improved after daily use for about 2 weeks.
Real studies on what's inside every scoop.
Every scoop has 7 kinds of good bacteria for her gut. Across 47 studies of laying hens, adding good bacteria meant more eggs and thicker shells. They pass through, so hens need them every day. That's why it goes in the water.
The research: Sjofjan et al., 2021 (47 studies). Latorre et al., Poultry Science, 2014.
Hot days: at 93°F, hens given one of Hen Harmony's good bacteria kept laying and eating while the others slowed down.
Cold days: zinc and vitamin C, both in Hen Harmony, helped cold hens lay bigger eggs with better shells. Electrolytes help keep her drinking.
The research: Deng et al., Poultry Science, 2012. Rajabi & Torki, 2021.
In a study of 560 older hens, the ones given one of Hen Harmony's good bacteria laid 8 more eggs per 100 hens, every single day. They also laid far fewer broken eggs.
The research: Tang et al., Poultry Science, 2026 (E. faecium, 87.3% vs 95.1% laying rate). A keeper says: "helped the majority of the flock start laying more eggs after a harsh winter." – Nancy L.
Hens given one of Hen Harmony's good bacteria absorbed more protein and calcium from the same feed, and laid more eggs. More of your feed goes to work.
The research: Oh et al., Poultry Science, 2026 (B. subtilis).
