Questions

How much is my jar worth?

Exactly what it says: $1 in your jar is $1 off your cart. Use it on anything we sell, including a new subscription's first box. Automatic subscription refills can't use it yet.

How does my jar fill up?

Every $1 you spend earns 1 point, and 1 point is 1¢ in your jar. Once you've earned 500 points in total you're a Hen and earn 2 points per $1; at 1,000 points you're a Golden Hen and earn 3. Refer a friend and you both get $50 and jump straight to Golden Hen.

How do I use it?

Fill your cart, then come to this page and tap Use my jar. It can pay for up to half of any order of $20 or more: a $40 order gets $20 off, a $100 order $50 off.

What happens to the points I already have?

Every point you already have becomes 1¢ in your jar, so 1,420 points is $14.20. That's the same value they have today.

How does Refer a Friend work?

Referrals are for new customers only: if your friend has ordered from GrubTerra before, the referral won't count. Your friend opens your link, creates their account there, then places their first order. When they do, you each get $50 in your savings jar, and you both become Golden Hens, earning 3% back on every order from then on. Like all jar money, the $50 pays for up to half of any order of $20 or more.

Does my jar expire?

Only after 12 months with no order. Any order resets the clock, and we'll email you before anything expires.
