When I first got my Grub Terra I fed my chickens (7) about a cup a day for 3 days. Then only once a week after that. They love them and after feeding them the Grub Terra black fly larva they started producing more and bigger eggs. I also noticed they’re feathers looking shinier and healthier. Happy hens! The 10 girls started molting and egg production dropped from 8 eggs a day to 2, sometimes 3 a day. After about 4 days of GrubTerra egg production increased to 5 eggs a day. Not bad during molting and humid, hot summer!!

My hens are absolutely bonkers for these black soldier flies! I started mixing them into their morning feeding as a daily treat when they were pullets (middle photo), then gradually scattered them so they could free range in their run and "hunt" them.
